Great jacket for traveling and hiking. Hood's brim helps protect your face in the rain. Don't put in the dryer, the material will crack around the neckline.
i got my jacket today on a very wet new york day! i wore it on a walk in my neighborhood and was delighted with it! it is roomy and the hood even has a little brim to keep out water. it is not overly heavy which is perfect for wet, humid weather. i love the velcro closures over the zipper panel - it really kept me dry!i ordered the blue periwinkle, which is a lovely lavender shade.

I really like the hood and the color of the jacket. The fit is as described--not too big, not too small. Would probably be tight with a thick sweater underneath. Would be nice if it was a bit more sculpted--like it if came in at the waist a bit--but I am happy with the way it is as well.
Like the color, and I think the jacket will perform in the rain well; however, I don't like the lining, which seems to be some sort of plastic! I would have much preferred a cotton lining over that plastic. Jacket would have been much more comfortable with a cotton lining.I also wonder about the durablility....
