This jacket is much lighter than expected, which is not a bad thing. A heavy sweater can be worn under it if necessary. Sometimes the zipper is difficult to zip. The velcro lining the flap has gotten caught into sweaters and other items of clothing, but it is a nice feature. I've wanted a lightweight rain jacket for years, and this one suits me fine. When meeting friends for dinner, three out of four of us had one on!
I LOVE these jackets!! They are light weight so you don't get hot when wearing it during the summer when it's humid. After wearing my other jacket for several years I noticed that the lining aroung the tag/hood area was beginning to come apart. I was surprised since LLBean makes high quality items. LLBean made it easy to exchange it for a new one! Returning the old defective jacket was a breeze! I love my new jacket and I love the new color that I chose as well! They still carried the other color I had before, but I love the color teal so went with that one instead.:)
I wore this in Tahoe (early Nov.) as a layer over 2 light weight shirts. It protected from fierce winds, then was light enought to tie around my waist when I warmed up. The hood came in handy when my ears got cold. Rolls up easily for packing.
