Works as it should here in the Pacific Northwest. Waterproof, not steamy hot, folds up small, lightweight. I work outdoors and wear this almost daily October - April. Fit is true to size to fit over a midweight fleece. It is boxy not fitted (at least in Plus Size) Elastic drawstrings in the right places. No pit zips but that makes it pack down smaller. Sleeves long enough for average person. Washes well. Have washed about 12 times in Tech Wash and it looks pretty new and it as waterproof as ever. Even on the shoulders where the pack straps ride. Theres a bit of the usual discoloration on the lining around the hood and neck from hair products and sunscreen. The available colors were a nice change from the usual bright garish womens plus size raincoat colors.
I really like this jacket. When I put in over a fleece jacket when visiting Alaska it kept me very warm and dry. The hood is great because it extends out and can be pulled tight if you wish. It is very light weight and takes up very little room in your luggage. I like that it snaps and has a zipper. I got the blue one and I really like the color. The only down side is that when worn in very warm weather it can get a little hot. It sure keeps you dry though. I am very satisfied with this product
I bought this rain jacket (and a men's size for my husband) for our trip to Alaska. It was the perfect jacket to bring for "layering" and the varying weather, sun, rain and even when a little cooler. It is roomy and fits well alone or over a fleece jacket. It is not a rubbery "sticky" kind of jacket. It's very breathable. It kept me completely dry and dried off quickly (just shaking it) and packed away to a small bundle of nothing! It is now used perfectly for errands, walking the dog, ballgames & outings. I did go up a size (M to L) to be sure about layering. Jackets for me are sometimes too tight across the chest but I think I could have also handled the medium. It's very roomy.
I took this jacket and an old LLBean packable hat with me traveling around the north and west coast of Ireland this summer. The weather varied from sunny and warm (I tied the jacket around my waist) to rainy and windy. The jacket met all the weather challenges with ease, even a rain/wind/sandstorm on a beach in Co. Sligo. Lightweight and comfortable, this is a go to jacket for travellers.
