I used to work outdoors year around in Ohio. My first purchase from Bean was a pair of boots that lasted 15 years. My feet were never cold. My next purchase was a raincoat for work. My daughter "borrowed" it-permanently. This is pretty much an updated version of that original raincoat. I try to visit my sister in Maine (Machiasport) once a year. I consider the Bean store in Ellsworth a must visit. The coat is exactly what I have come to appreciate from Bean- perfection; a great windbreaker before and after the rain, a great rain coat during the rain.
I am VERY glad I read the reviews and ordered one size up. It fits PERFECT. It did seem a little expensive, but I haven't had a rain coat in years and wanted to make sure it was a good one. You can ALWAYS trust anything from LL Bean!!
