I was replacing an older jacket Love this one because of several features. It zips open at the bottom, has covered zipper, all the features I wanted. Love it. I got the brighter blue and love the color.
Bought this to bring to Paris with me instead of an umbrella. Had to use it the first day, but worked great. Light, fit over a sweater, blocked the wind and most importantly the sleeves are long enough for a 5'10" person. Ordered brown for versatility. A must for a raincoat.
I took this jacket to Alaska in summer 2008. My husband had the male version. It rained everyday of our 12 day trip. The jacket kept us dry and we were able to wear fleece underneath on days when it was colder. I love the pockets, the 2 way zipper, and the weight of the jacket. I have taken it and used it many times since the trip.
At first I wasn't sure I liked this jacket, but it has grown on me. Today was the first time I got to try it out in the rain and it kept me nice and dry, although it doesn't work as well as a windbreaker in windy weather. Water rolls right off of it and the hood is big which is nice because it covers my whole head. The only con I've come across is that the zipper is kind of hard to use.
