I live in the desert where we don't get much rain and the climate is mild. I was surprised that this jacket was so lighweight when the package arrived, but it is just right for this desert weather.
I am very happy with this jacket. The Meadow Violet color is beautiful! This jacket is not as roomy as others -- a thin layer (tank top + fitness fleece pullover) is all I can wear under it, but I think it was designed to be a warmer weather item anyway, and you wouldn't be wearing sweatshirts, etc. under it.
This jacket was as described. It is light and requires layers for warmth. The hood did not interfere with my ability to see what was going on around me.
