I love my new jacket. The construction quaility is excellent. The color is viabrant and all the zippers and closures work well. It's full enough to cover several layers & I love the inside pocket that keeps my cellphone dry. The only thing two things I miss is a zippered collar to hold the hood when it's not needed and a stuff bag or pocket to stow the jacket in when it's not being worn.
Bought this jacket for a cruisetour in Alaska. Not only is it lightweight and easily packable, it is windproof and waterproof. It was sorely tested during an all-day-long downpour in Juneau and passed the test with flying colors! The hood covered my head so well, I never bothered with an umbrella. Layered over a fleece jacket, I was comfortable in temperatures in the 40's. The zipper can be aggravating, just make sure the upper and lower zippers are exactly lined up and it will work fine.
I wore this twice. one on a warm day with a short sleve shirt. the jacket sweats a little. The other day was when playing golf and it started to rain,. I had a long sleve shirt on and it was a cooler day. The jacket was perfect for my situation. Glad I had it.
