Fabric, etc. is fine. Don't know what the problem is with sizing lately with llbean things, but I'm not happy about it. This is the third thing I've purchased in the past 6 months - NONE of the sizes were consistent. This was far too small for a 2X. I thought it would be roomy. It was 2 inches from even meeting at the front!!!! Very disappointed. They need to straighten out their sizing problems so there is a consistency throughout their products!
I was looking for something to wear under a snowmobile suit to give some warmth yet allow arm movement and ordered one of these vests. I like it so well I ordered a second one in a different color.
I have the older grey vest from L.L. Bean and it is comfortable to wear. This vest has a higher collar that I find a bit annoying when wearing it unzippered as I feel it on my face when I turn my head. It is warmer than my older vest but again, not as comfortable.
