I live in Arizona and this is the perfect winter jacket. I wear it all the time, it is stylish, fits great, not binding or too loose. The warmth is wonderful and the feel is great. If only someone could eliminate the static from PolarFleece products.
I own several fleece vests, but none that are as light and comfortable, and that block the wind as effectively as this one does. This is a key addition to my winter outerwear (and mid-layer) wardrobe. I have used this vest while cycling in my home state, skiing in Colorado, and camping throughout the southwest, and now consider it a must-have for many of my outdoor activities.
I bought two of these vests for my husband who is a police officer at a college. He wears them under his outer jacket on very cold days. He loves that the collar blocks the wind from coming in at the neck and finds that he no longer has to wear a scarf. He also likes that the vest keeps his body warm while permitting freedom of movement for his arms while he directs traffic.
This fleece is well constructed and looks excellent. It exceeded my high expectations of a LL Bean product from that perspective. I was disappointed in the wind resistance of fleece. Expected to wear it in springtime in Pennsylvania mild weather conditions but on windy days this product does not resist wind well (as advertised) and I feel cold in it.
