The material in the vest is just right for keeping enough heat to keep warm yet permit the escape of moisture on cold morning bike rides in inland California. The hand pockets are large enough to carry gloves with out losing them and still have room for earmuffs. The chest pocket is very handy for many things from cell phone to medications.
Vest is very nicely made. It does run one size big. I ordered a large and returned for a medium. Very happy with the quality of the material and thickness of the fleece.
