great for kids sleepovers
PostedJanuary 27, 2010
The bed folds out and lies right on the floor, not extremely confortable for an adult, but a perfect soft spot for sleepovers, just roll out the sleeping bag right on top and no hard floors to contend with! Have had this in the playroom for 5+ years and still looks like new, fabric has held up for us.

Ultra-light sleeper sofa
PostedDecember 11, 2009
For the purpose we needed, this little sofa sleeper is perfect!! Just an extra sofa/bed in office area to be used infrequently. One thing we did not realize is that the sofa and bed are RIGHT on the floor...not a problem. Just didn't realize. That's why it is so wonderfully light! Another thing we didn't realize is that you cannot put fitted sheets over the bed entirely because the bed is part of the sofa and just folds out. Once again, not necessarily a problem, just didn't realize this feature. The padded arms make great place to sit and nap! ;) Fabric is super!

kid friendly, but not comfortable
PostedDecember 3, 2009
We bought the sofa and ultralight chair for a family room. We have six young children, and we wanted something durable, lightweight, comfortable, yet nice-looking enough for having guests. It isn't comfortable at all, esp. the bed. The chair is a little better, but I would recommend getting the ottoman if you do buy it. It is lightweight and looks nice, but after three years the fabric looks worn. We also bought the mission end tables and bookshelf and they are much nicer.

Great for frequent moves; not for long-term use
PostedSeptember 1, 2009
My husband and I bought this sofa 5 years ago and were very pleased with it initally. It was easy to transport and fit well with various decors. After about a year, the foam began to compact and did not provide adequate support. The foldout "bed" provides a good base for a blow-up mattress but cannot be used on its own. The top third of the foam "bed" is much stiffer than the rest and forms an uncomfortable ridge mid-back. Also, there is nowhere to tuck in sheets at the top of the "bed". Finally, the fabric lining was much too thin and tore in several locations after light use. We've been very pleased with the mission-style furniture we've bought at LLBean, but this piece was a disappointment.
