I bought this to carry all of the items needed for my baby while on short trips. I liked the fact that the bottom is a totally separate compartment and can easily be accessed. This bag can hold A LOT of items. I knew from reading the dimensions that it was going to be a sizeable backpack- and was even more impressed when it arrived. The quality of the fabric is great. Seams and zippers are high quality. Am very happy and would purchase again if I knew someone who could use one. Great product for the price.
I have had this backpack for four years now. My family was thinking about getting a plain classic backpack, but I insisted I get this one, and I'm so glad I did! I love the large size because it holds all of my books and folders and everything else. I don't use my locker often, so it works out. I don't really use the middle-large pocket very often, but I have every other pocket packed with my things! I use the MP3 player pocket for my ID and other little things, and I use the front upper pocket for my calculator and protractor, and I use the front lower pocket for extra pencils and supplies. The pocket in front of the lower pocket isn't of very much use to me since it is so thin and since my backpack is already stuffed, it's hard to use. This backpack has been through a lot. One other problem is that the straps on mine seem to have worn out and they will not tighten. The only way I can wear them is if I adjust them all the way out, which sometimes makes it feel more heavy, and sometimes the straps flail out. Overall, this is one great, sturdy backpack and I know it is going to last a very, very long time!
My son has to carry a ton of books at school, and we had been using the Deluxe backpack for several years. One of the LLBean staff recommended this bag as the biggest they have. The compartment for clothing is great and it is very roomy. Just make sure your child is fit and can carry a lot of weight!
I've searched high and low -- online and in the stores. I've ordered and returned many backpacks. I'm a college student with LOTS of books and STUFF. This is the BEST, BIGGEST, BACKPACK.
BUY IT. You will NOT regret it. I'm going to order another just to have bc it is that good!!!!!!!!
