I actually bought it for my daughter for school, but she didn't like it I bet it is a good book pack, but it is a GREAT airline carry on bag! You can get enough stuff in here for a three or four day trip and an extra pair of shoes. It fits under the seat or in the overhead bin. Forget checking a bag, just use this one. Thank you LLBean!
My son has had this for a few weeks and I love the underside pocket to keep his gym shoes or clothes in it. The backpack is sturdy, and he loves it. I also got his nickname embroidered on it and he was tickled.
My son says it is roomy enough for his high school books, all his gym gear and still sit comfortable on his back.
I was worth the initial investment to get something that will take him through college.
After a hard decision of spending the $$$ I broke down and bought 2. Totally worth the $$$ big enough for your middle schooler and ALL their books. Including a spot to put their gym sneakers. Very well built, kids luv them. Thank You LL BEAN
