I bought this backpack for myself a few months ago and love it! I recently returned to college and it holds everything I need and I still have room. I just bought one for my daughter, who is starting Junior High. She loves all of the compartments and that she can bring her tennis shoes and not worry about her school work. I would highly recommend this item!
I bought the turbo transit pack for my daughter in aug. 2005 and it looks brand new. She uses it everyday. She does not have a locker in high school so she carries all of her stuff in it. It has fallen in mud puddles, been draged and looks brand new. I tell all my friends how great L L Bean products are. It may cost a little more but if you buy a new book bag each year you really aren't saving money. Some years we would have to buy two before we bought this one. I bought my twin boys deluxe bookpacks and they look new also. I have to buy them turbo transits this year because they "out grew" their old ones. Fantastic Products worth every cent.
My son destroyed backpacks year after year. Bought him the Turbo Transit Pack 8 years ago. Still going strong in 2nd year of college. Just bought 2 more. One for my wife and one for me for travel in lieu of check-in luggage. They are just as huge and seem to be just as well made as the first one.
