Many years ago, I purchased and loved the original book back. So when we were thinking about where to find the perfect bag for my skiing gear, we came to LLBean for it. We ordered two Turbo Transit bags and they are working out perfectly. We can fit all of our skiing/boarding clothing--including coats and pants. And, they fit a pair of hiking boots in the bottom compartment. These bags have ended the nightmare of having too much gear and not enough space. We are looking forward to using them in the summer as we make our travels--only needing one bag per family member.
The only thing that would make this bag better is if it could also stored my ski boots....skis...and poles. Is that asking too much?
In our household, we love this product. My son is a dedicated student with regard to his homework and as a result brings home every book everyday. His backpack can hold many thick books and binders. If he needs to, he can place sneakers on the bottom pouch, too. I also like how the backpack has different compartments for better organization and several areas to hold the backpack (on top with a handle, on its side by another handle [this handle is helpful to use if he doesn't want to squish his shoes when setting the backpack down], or by the extra cushioned straps). I also like how the warranty covers rips that may occur by the overpacking. Great product!
This a pretty large bag -- and very well-made. My kids think it's stylish, which means they are "nicer" to it -- and i like the fact that it has a waist belt (I wish they used it more, but that's another issue). The straps are well-padded and the MP3-pocket with headphone hole is a nice plus. All-in-all, this bag is well worth the price tag. All bags should be this well made!
