I actually bought 4 of these, one for each of my kids and one for my husband and they are great for fitting in all the stuff the kids need for school (lunches, gym gear, binders, etc).Unfortunately they can get a little heavy for smaller children (90lbs or less) when they are full so it is something to keep in mind when loading them up. The bag may take it but not the kid! Also, one of the 4 bags had a frayed handle but I think that was probably just a fluke because the other 3 were fine. There is a nice selection of colors in these as well which pleases all kinds.
I purchased this for my teenage son. He was carrying 3 bags to school and still having to carry books in his hand. This fits all his books. He has only had it a few weeks but it is holding up well. He loves it because it holds tons of stuff and it is cool. All the kids at his school have LL Bean backpacks!
