This backpack/bookbag holds everything I need it to hold....books, laptop, workout clothing, and much much more. As a commuting grad student, I needed a bag large enough to carry my life with me for a day, and this bag does just what I've been looking for. I absolutely love the bottom section to keep my workout clothes separate from my books.
This bag started to fall apart after two months of use. One of the straps started to unravel after one month. Now, after only 5 months of use the strap has completing fallen apart. I am not happy with this item especially the price I paid and it did not last the school year.
This is the largest backpack that LL Bean sells. It's very durable and holds a lot. I really like the fact that the first one I had lasted years until the plastic clip broke on the strap. I sent it back to LL Bean and they replaced the backpack with the same size at no cost. They paid for the shippping both ways as well. Will always purchase from LL Bean because everything they sell is top quality.
Given the fact that I tend to overstuff my backpacks, I would appreciate one of those straps across the chest like my computer bag has. On the other hand, the straps and the back padding are very comfortable and there are lots of useful pockets.
