My poor kid hobbled home from school all hunched over with his old backpack. On his first day with the Turbo Transit Pack, he flew past the car and declined a ride home. It is roomy and the dimensions allow him to balance the load far better than his other name-brand pack. The sturdy hip belt is a plus. The perfect pack for the student with heavy textbooks.
I bought my turbo pack eight years ago before leaving for Europe on a sabbatical with my two young children. As with all mothers of young children, I ended up hauling the belongings for the entire family on my back and this pack always had room! This pack has continued to serve me through yearly foreign travels with my children. One of my friends calls my backpack "the Barney Bag" because I can carry everything we need in it. My son has now entered middle school and he ended co-opting my backpack because it is big enough to carry everything and tough enough to handle the heavy weight. However, I am now ordering him his own turbo pack, because I want mine back! I won't give up the best pack ever.
This was a replacement for another Turbo Pack that had broken zippers. It is very difficult to find a backpack for school that is big enough to hold everything, and the Turbo pack does the trick nicely. My son is absolutely delighted and it gets very hard use. I am so glad for your guarantee- especially in these budget-conscious times!
Our son was complaining that he never had enough time between classes to go to his locker and get what he needed. His old LLbean backpack, while still in great condition (bought at least 6 yrs ago) wasn't large enough any more to hold everything he needed for the entire school day. The turbo transit pack is working out perfectly for him now. It not only holds an entire days worth of books, and supplies (about 25 - 30 lbs of stuff), it still has room for more and it is designed with great support straps. When loaded up, the weight is distributed nicely, which makes it easier to carry without strain on his back. I highly recommend it for any High School or college kid who has a lot to carry all at once. If the workmanship of the last Bean pack is testament to the turbo pack, I'm sure he'll have it for the next 3 years of highschool and on into college too!
