Great backpack! We needed to replace the one we got from LL Bean 4 years ago because my son needed more room. There was never any doubt we would order form LL Bean again. This backpack has everything he needs, plenty of room, style and comfort. The compartment at the bottom is great for gym clothes and even handles his size 12 sneakers. He is in 8th grade and we expect this pack to see him though high school.
this pack is very good in book size, technically its a little tight. also the shoe compartment is a complete waste of space if you do not plan on putting shoes into it, if you do plan on putting shoes into it will make your pack sit uneven on the floor and fall over, though this happens because of the empty compartment anyway. Besides that the shoulder straps are very close together making it sit uncomfortably on your back. Another downside includes there are no mesh water bottle pockets so your water bottle puts condensation on your books. The two extra compartments are very nice they hold a graphing calculator and some other add ons nicely. but the 2nd biggest pocket is for keys and random pencils so its basically useless, if you do decide to put a book in there you have to fight with the separating flap making sure your book doesn't get caught. Overall I probably wouldn't buy this bag again even though ll bean's quality is unbelievable.
I got this back in january and the biggest complaint that I have is it does not stand up. No matter what I do it is constantly falling over because of the bottom compartment. There are times when I don't have anything in the compartment I wish there was a way it could be tucked away somehow. I usually would put a jacket in there or some shoes and it still would fall over. Also the straps are too close together and with the amount that I carry it can get uncomfortable. I got this pack because it was the biggest but I just ordered a super deluxe to replace it as I cannot stand this one anymore. I did like the outside pockets and the carrying handle on the side but that is about it. I also wish it had water bottle holders on the outside
I got this bookbag for my bday. my friend recommended it, and i said "what the heck", I'll try it. so the day i got my bookbag, i was TOTALLY impressed! I recommend this bookbag to any jr high or igh school, or even college student!
