Great, great bag. Lots of compartments and room to hold just about anything and everthing. Great sport bag, great weekend pack. As a matter of fact, there are so many compartments I get confused as to where I put my stuff!
Why did I buy a bag last fall from a local department store? I knew it would fall apart before the school year ended... I will never do that again, because I just got my 5th grader an L.L. Bean backpack. I probably will not need to get him another one before he graduates from high school - they are so long-lasting and long-wearing. My 24-year-old still has his L.L. Bean pack from 1999... don't waste your money on anything else - get the quality merchandise right here!
I bought this pack for my son when he was in second grade. At the time the bag was almost larger than he was. Well, my son just graduated High School and he is still using the bag. He's grown a bit (he's now 6"4") but the pack is still going strong!
I can't rave enough about this bag. I received it as a high school graduation gift from my mom because I was on the track team and needed a bag to keep my running shoes and throwing shoes in during the day.
I loved it so much that after four years of college, I kept using it for law school. It could comfortably hold my laptop in a sleeve and three casebooks, plus a planner and a large water bottle. I did have to replace it after six years of use and abuse, but with L.L. Bean's warranty, that's no problem!
I absolutely love this backpack and am still using it now while I study for the bar exam.
