The bag is great in size. Holds a lot of things and is great for travel. The only issue I have is that the "hang up" strap which I do not use, has broke. I am on the third bag.
I was tired of buying 3-4 book bags per school year, so I decided I would try a book bag from LL Bean. My 16 year old son loves this bag. He can get all of his "stuff" in it and still have room for any extras he may need. He likes the style; all the different compartments; and best of all the durability of the bag. All of the other book bags we have purchased have had broken/torn straps; seams that burst; or raveling of the bag itself only after a few months of use. He has used his bag for an entire school year and it is still in excellent shape! I am now going to purchase a lunch tote for next school year. I would give you more than 5 stars on this product. This is one happy mom!
I have had my bag since they first came out. I was in high school. I am now almost thirty. This bag has seen many travels and tons of gear and lots of abuse and has held up like a pro. And no matter how much stuff I cram in there, it is still comfortable on a long bike ride or hike. If you are a compulsive "be prepared" person who carts everything with them all the time, this is the backpack for you!
This is the first time I have spent this much money on a pack for my boys, but it is worth it. It is perfect for a middle schooler who needs to stay organized and have everything in one pack. It is roomy enough for lunch and gym bags on top of the expected books. He finds it also easy to put on and walk with it. The waist strap is a nice feature.
