Ordered two book packs, one for a Kindergarten child and one for a first grader. Good size for their little bodies, could be a little larger, it's full now and winter is coming. For me, the big drawback, it really needs a mesh side pocket for the water bottle. Have had to dry out the contents a couple of times already when the bottle isn't capped tight and was dropped in the bottom.
The actual book pack is perfect- size, durability- but the color is bad- at least for boys as it has a dark pink tint to it. Against other red items it looks pink and my son refuses to use it. Would not buy for a boy at all.
This is the perfect size for a preschooler! I bought this for my son to take to daycare/preschool and it works perfect for our needs. It fits papers, art projects and extra clothes. The straps are the right proportion for his frame and fit comfortably. It has been drug through the mud and across the parking lot, but after washing, it still looks great. I hope to get a few more years of loyal service before he outgrows it (that happens too fast, doesn't it?).
