We got this for our pre-schooler & loved it, so now my son has one as his big-boy diaper bag. He'll be able to take it to school with him until about 3rd grade!! Lots of great uses - one great bag (& the monogramming is super-cute!).
I purchased this book bag for my daughter when she started Kindergarten. It was agreat size for her and she is now using it in first grade. My son will use it when he starts Kindergarten next year and I am definitely purchasing the original then for my daughter. Thanks L.L. Bean!
I bought this pack for my daughter midway through her kindergarten year. (Her previous inexpensive character backpack was coming apart) She has just started second grade and it still using the backpack. The backpack is still in great condition. I have not had any problems with the zippers like a few others have reported. My only regret is that I think it won't be big enough for third grade next year, but I will look to LL Bean again when she needs a bigger pack.
