We bought this bag for our daughter last year when she started kindergarten. It's held out GREAT! In fact, so great that to buy her a new bag would be like throwing money away. So, now she's stuck with her bag from last year and she's not happy about it. But, like I said, there is no reason to get rid of a perfectly good bag!
This is a great backpack. It definitely appears to be well made. I was completely caught off guard when I opened the package in the mail however. I ordered the lime green Jr. pack and while the color online looks more like a subtle lime, it is glowing in real life! I am still trying to decide if I should keep it or return it since the color is not quite what I expected. With a name like "lime", I should have known better! Apparently the colors are more bold in real life than on the computer so be careful when ordering. I'm sure my son will still love using it for preschool.
LL Bean's Book Pack's are worth every dollar spent!!
I bought the Junior size for my oldest son, who is now 9. What I liked most about it was the fact that it was designed for younger, pre school aged kids. It was ridiculous seeing these 3 and 4 year old kids coming to school with back packs bigger than them!!
My oldest used the back pack for Pre-k and Kindgergarten. It was then passed on to my youngest who used it for pre-school, pre-K AND Kindergarten!
This back pack is 5 years old and is in perfect shape!! No rips, tears, nothing!
At the end of the school year I toss it in the washer (I have a front loader), hang to dry and it looks good as new!!
This review is from the 6 year old who uses it: " It's very light and it fit me well. It's very sturdy and went to school every day with me and many of my travels too." Mom says it washes well.
