This is definately a great buy, especially now it's on sale! I purchased this a couple of months ago when my son started school/summer camp. He is only 2.5 (and is small for his age) yet he can carry this pack easily, I am also a teacher and have seen some book packs that (for school) are not worth buying, they are way too small to fit anything in except maybe a spare shirt! This is a perfect size yet still great for even the little kids. This was my first purchase from LLBean, we have since purchased the matching lunch pack and will be purchasing more book packs as gifts. This is a wonderful company to do business with too, their customer service is exceptional.
My pre-schooler loves his backpack and will take it to kindergarten as well! These are so sturdy, they never seem to wear out. Have bought larger sizes for my oldest and nieces and nephew as gifts.
I purchased this backpack and matching lunch box last year for my 2nd grader. She has a small frame and it worked perfect. I had her initials placed on it also. What a wonderful idea! Everybody knew who it belonged to when she left it on the bus! I washed the bag and the lunchbox throughout the year and they look brand new!! No rips, zipper is in great shape. Awesome product-highly recommended......
My son is on the smaller side and when it was time for him to go to Kindergarten I was worried a regular backpack would knock him over. Then I found this Junior backpack and it was PERFECT! Fits him and he can carry it around without any problems. I love LLBean and am so happy they think of kids of all sizes even down to the backpack!
