I bought this backpack (and the matching lunch box) for my daughter a year ago, when she was three years old, to use at school every day. It's a very high quality, unique looking bag(I bought lime flower patch), and it has held up extremely well. It still looks great after several washes. Most important to me, this is the most appropriately sized backpack that I have found for her age, and I will continue to use it for the upcoming school year. My only complaint (I wish they would change this!) is that there is a thin flap that covers the zippers which has gotten caught in the zippers many times. I have to make sure to fold the flap back so that my daughter can open it without snagging the flap in the zipper -- I have actually done this a few times myself, and once it was nearly impossible to get the material out of the zipper, and I almost broke the zipper trying to do it. Other than this design flaw, it's a great bag!
My daughter's Junior Book Pack just finished it's second year of use, having made it through Kindergarten and First Grade. It's perfectly sized to my daughter's small frame, has plenty of room and keeps everything organized. After two years of every day use it looks great, with no tears or rips and the zipper is as good as new. She's keeping it for another school year, but we will be ordering another one for my second daughter entering Kindergartern!
So far so good. We only just got the bag today. I just wanted to write and tell you that the pink is not very pale as it appears to be on the website. It's actually a bright almost hot pink in color. It's a more beautiful color than I thought. Just a heads up. Once we actually use this for awhile I can come back and write a better review.
I purchased this pack for my son when he entered 4k, this year he will be entering second grade and this bag is still in great shape after three years of hard use. I am replacing it this year with the larger version of the pack-just because he will be bringing bigger books home.
