My daughter got the print backpack in headstart (pre...preschool) she used it in headstart, preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade. The size is perfect..she is now 6 1/2 and still loves it. The material is great if something gets on it we have been able to get it off with a wet rag. Come 2nd grade we will have to buy the bigger version of this backpack strictly due to more books they carry and this is a smaller bag. We did have a zipper come out in kindergarten but you can't beat that. The price isn't bad and they do last a long time. Many parents I know I have to buy a new backpack every year and somethings even twice in one year due to zipper failure and the material of the backpacks just not holding up. So for the $24 we spent on this bag and it lasted 4 years that is like spending $6/year on a backpack....not bad. The material on the print bag still looks brand new hasn't faded at all. This backpack would be perfect for a kindergartner - good size, great color, good quality material, except zippers break way too easily. My son loved his red backpack so much, that I had to buy him same one after the zippers broke. Unfortunately, zippers on the second one didn't last either :(
I've stopped buying backpacks anywhere else, as these are unbelievable! My daughter had the same one for 6 years, and I got her a new one because she outgrew it, but, other than the fact that it was really dirty (after being dragged on the floor all the time) it was in perfect condition! Other backpacks rip, and the zippers break after just a couple of months, but these just last and last. Worth every penny!
This bag is perfect for younger children. It held up so well and I think i only had to wash it a few times the whole school year. Excellent choice if you chose to purchase this bookbag.
