I bought this bag in Dehlia purple a year and half ago to use as a diaper bag for my 1 year old. I have to say I love this bag it has held up really well. The only reason I didn give it 5 stars is because the color has faded. The original color is shown under the zipper flap in the picture.
Dear L.L. Bean, PLEASE bring back the light pink junior (and more solid color options) in the Junior Book Pack! While the prints are fun for the moment, kids tend to outgrown or change their minds after a short time. My 9 year old still has his lime green color from Pre-k3, and uses it all of the time! They last forever, so please bring back the timeless solid colors that will last along with the Book Pack!!! THANKS :)
This review is for this style of backpack as we purchased ours almost 9 years ago. I originally purchased this backpack as a diaper bag so I didn't have to carry around one of those bulky ones that I would never use again once our son was out of diapers. Our son is going on 9 years old and we have two in this style. They have held up all through the years and still look great. We've traveled with them all over the world too. We are about to have another child and we have already ordered another backpack as our go-to diaper bag. I cannot express enough the quality in LLBean products - they are the best! When we asked our son about getting a new backpack this year - he said "Why should I? This one still works" that says a lot from a young boy!
Purchased this backpack for my daughter when she was in kindergarten she is now going into 5th grade and the backpack is in great condition. We are upgrading to the deluxe backpack this year. This one will now be used for camping and sleepovers.
