The owl bag arrived today, and I am thrilled with it. Beautiful with first name one letter initial. My little one was modeling it all around the house. It is beautiful and sturdy. Fits a 5 year perfectly.
I bought this backpack for my son for him to carry to PreK. It has survived 3 entire school years and still looks brand new. I am purchasing him a new one because this one is now too small for second grade. This backpack more than pays for itself. Wonderful backpack for PreK, K, and 1st graders.
This was my daughter's first backpack for school. We purchased it in the fall of 2011 before she started pre-school. It has lasted through 2 years of preschool, daycare and summer camp and now kindergarten. We are now replacing it with something larger for summer camp and first grade. The only reason we are replacing it is for size. She needs something that can carry everything she needs in one bag for field trips and then for winter to school. This year she had to carry a second bag for snow gear, so it is time to get a larger one for next year. We love this bag and it will be used for car trips and over nights to the Grandparents. We have the matching flip top lunch box as well. It is in the wildlife print that is no longer being made. I strongly suggested this as a first backpack for your pre-schooler. It is wonderful, durable and perfect for a young child.
I ordered this Jr. sized backpack for my daughter 3 years ago. She used it for Pre-K, K, & 1st grades. Well worth the money spent instead of spending $30+ each year on 2 or more backpacks like other moms. It is still in great shape for the most part, but am afraid it will be too small for her next year as a 2nd grader. The posted picture is what it looks like after 3 years and hasn't gotten its wash yet this year. She got tones of compliments on her cute school bag & matching lunch box (blue woodland critter print). My only negative is that I wish I could get the same print in the original size back pack! LL Bean doesn't even offer the same print in Jr. size anymore. I will be ordering her next school bag from LL Bean, definitely! GREAT product! Very Satisfied!
