I bought this for my almost 4 year old for preschool. He's using it now for daycare. He went absolutely crazy when he saw the sharks and that his name was on it. The colors are the bag are great,it's not faded looking or light. Holds a lot more than you would think a backpack designed for small kids would and it fits him well and he can carry it comfortably. I can definitely see him using this probably through 1st grade,unless by then he's bored with the sharks lol
Just received the red junior original backpack in the mail and love it. It fits my son perfect and the color is vibrant. You can fit standard folders inside AND the matching lunchbox as well. Highly recommend!
This backpack survived my fashion diva/speed demon/fearless fashionista/whirling dervish. After a kindergarten year lived at wharp speed, it has gone through the washing machine multiple times and still looks new. The same comment applies to the matching lunchbox. We will get many years out of this.
We bought our first junior after I went through two Disney backpacks before Christmas. Did a bit of research and came across the bags at LL Bean. The reviews were good enough for me to purchase one. She made it through to the end of grade 1 with the pink one. The backpack is still in awesome shape, she just needs a bigger one, which we ordered in July. I know they discourage washing, but like I said my daughters bag was pink and it was beyond filthy from surviving 3 winters & springs. A good soak and nail brush scrub with some oxi clean, the bag is sweet and pink again & ready to pass on her younger sister who will be heading into junior kindergarten in September. I'm sure we will get through a few more years out of the first if not more judging by other reviews.
