I order this bag back in 2008 for my son to start 1st grade and he loved it, he is now in 5th grade and we are looking for a new llbean bag beacuse he has more books to carry. but his bag gone every where with him and is holding up great. i did have to return the 1st one cause it had a hole in it after one year but they where happy to replace it. I got my 1st ll bean bag in 96 and i still use it till this day.
I bought this backpack two years ago for my son going to preschool he was three. The size was perfect for him and the bag has held up very well still looks new. He still loves the bag so much he is taking it to Kindergarten this year. We loved the bag so much we are getting another one for his younger brother who is entering preschool. I would highly recommend this bag for younger childrean.
I bought this pack for my daughter when she started K-3 this past February. It's the perfect size for her, not so big that it overwhelms her and not too small for her folder and change of clothes, art projects, or whatever else she takes to/brings home from school. It's also very useful as a travel pack, as it fits regular size coloring books, her dvd player and case, and other toys as wanted as well as a spare change of clothes and extra pull ups. Of course, as a travel pack, mommy or daddy have to carry it (too heavy for a 3 year old), and the strap adjusts enough for us to carry it as a shoulder bag. Even when she outgrows it for school, it will still be a convienient travel bag.
