I am a new LL Bean customer. We bought this for my 5 yr old daughter for school.The pink is so cute and her monogram was perfect. I was extremely impressed with how quickly it shipped. I am interested in seeing how long it will last since a lot of the reviews state the longevity of the product. Very pleased.
I bought my daughter her first LLBean backpack in Kindergarten after going through 2 different brands in preschool. She's now entering Grade 4 and the only reason I'm buying a new pack is that she wants a bigger one. She's small for her age so the Jr. Pack still fits her, the only tear is the hook on the top. I have bought my son one to start off Kindergarten as well, I have complete faith he will outgrow it before it wears out. I love these backpacks.
I bought one of these for my son when he was in second grade. He used it for several years, but he outgrew it (it had a lizard embroidered on it and was probably too baby-ish). That's when I took it over. He just left for college and the bag is still going strong.
I ordered the jr. backpack for my oldest daughter when she entered 3 year old preschool. It's survived two years and looks like new. Going to be using for kindergarten this year. I thought it might be another hand me down for her younger sister... wrong. had to order little sister her own this year! Good size for younger kids! Once they outgrow it, will be good for overnights, sports practice, etc. Only silly wish was that there were more cute prints this year....
