The Original Junior Book Pack is fantastic and well worth the money. I bought one for my oldest son when he started 3 year-old preschool and it lasted him through 3rd grade! He really only needs a new one because of size. The backpack itself is still great. Now, he's happy because he gets to use it to tote around stuff to sleepovers & trips. I am betting the Original Plus that he's moving up to will be just as great!
We've been so happy with it as a product that our next 2 children have it as well!
Not sure what I was thinking when I ordered this for my infant son...anyhow, it's just the right size to stock with diapers, snacks, change of clothes, a toy/book, etc. Because it isn't too big, nothing gets lost, it doesn't get heavy and gosh, the back pack straps sure are handy!! Quality is fabulous, I expect it'll still be in great shape for school, and may be a handy, small pack for years to come.
I bought this for my son in preschool and he is now entering second grade. The pack has held up very well, including daily school use, weekends away and summer day camps. No problems with the zippers and the royal blue doesn't even show much dirt. We are now sizing up, only because the jr pack is too small for lunchbox and snowgear in winter. That would be my one caution, if this is a school backpack and your kid needs to stuff in a lunchbox plus coat or snowpants, probably not going to work.
