I purchased this backpack for my kindergartener and it was great. She originally had another pack that a relative had given her but it kept slipping off her shoulders and eventually became too uncomfortable to tote. Then she started using the LL Bean pack and what a difference. The straps helped keep the bag centered on her back and it's very lightweight but strong enough to carry her homework books plus a lunch bag. She'll use it again in the 1st grade. Yay!
My daughter picked out this backpack for preschool. It's the perfect size and having her name embroidered on it makes it even more special. We are both thrilled with our purchase and looking forward to years of use.
I purchased this backpack last year for my daughter, who was entering the 3rd grade. It was the first backpack to last the entire year. By the time the end of the year rolled around, it had no snags, no broken parts and all the zippers worked. Definitely woth the money.
A friend gave my daughter a new LLBean book bag when she was in 1st grade...she has used it every year since (with exception of one year that we had to have a new one (non LLBean)...that fell apart half way thru the school year) My daughter will be in the 10th grd this fall..and there is not a thing wrong or out of place on this back pack. no fray or separated seams...nothing. not even fading! I thought it was too good to be true..but with all the overstuffing and the dragging on the bus floor...its still great! Thank you LLBean for making a quality item!
