We purchased this backpack for our son last fall when he started K3. He used it the entire school year and it still looks brand new. He'll get a lot more use out of it before he outgrows it. And I'm happy because I don't have to buy a new one next school year. I highly recommend this product!!
I have bought this back pack for my two older kids when they entered 4-yr-old preschool. They are now finishing up 4th and 2nd grade. I will be buying a new one for my youngest who will be entering 4K. My older ones used them every day through 3rd grade and they honestly still look brand new. I threw them in the wash once every couple months and they look great. My oldest is very, very hard on gear and his still is great and he now uses it for trips and overnights. Now the oldest has the original size and he will have it forever. My husband is 40 years old and still uses his LL Bean pack he got in high school.
After my 6 year old son went through two backpacks, In half a school year. I decided to look on-line. I remembered some of my school mates (back in Kentucky) having LL bean. After reading the reviews I felt confident enough to purchased one. I got his favorite color red and had it personalized. He LOVED it... the color is great. It fits him so well. We have had it a few months still holding on strong. It is so great in fact. I even bought my middle son the same one in blue. The only problem I have is the fact I have three boys. I feel that the four colors available are very gender specific. I would like to see one or two addition solid colors for both boys and girls.
I just found spilled yogurt from before the extra long weekend at the bottom of the backpack. The yogurt stayed contained in the pack and didn't leak out all over the closet, and I threw the whole thing in the wash, and it turned out fine. Thank you for such a great product!
