Horrible book bag. The zipper constantly gets hung up on the overlap of the bag. Zipper finally broke. My son only got one school year out of this book bag. Will never buy another one from LL bean. They should discontinue these.
My child has intermittently used this Book Pack for three years. After two years I noted wear along the edges and fraying of the fabric. I was surprised since she is very gentle and had not used it much. The inner mesh fabric and pockets was also defective with missing stitching so that there were pen holder and pocket compartments missing. I did like the print (Woodland) and this was the reason for the purchase of the item.
This backpack was not made very well in my opinion. Within two months the reflective band started showing scratches and then when I hand washed it, something happened to the inside of it, it looked as if it was peeling. Would definitely not buy this version again.

I just bought my third Junior backpack to be used as a baby bag for my son due in February. My older children, 8 and 6, both have a Junior backpack that they have been using since preschool. I am amazed how durable this bag is. My kids are tough on their items and I've had no issues with holes, tearing, or loosening stitches. This bag cannot be beat!
