Purchased this backpack when our youngest son went to kindengarten. It was perfect for Kindergarten and 1st grade. After 1st grade it became the cartrip pack for toys and videogames because the school work/books increased and it was no longer big enough. Just this week I gave it to Goodwill so another child may have use of it. My son is now going into 5th grade! After all this time and use the backpack was in execellent condition to pass along to someone else. My son is now using a hand-me-down pack from an older brother. Highly recommend this product. Worth the cost.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, more than expected
I bought a pink junior backpack for my granddaughter entering 2K. Alas, she is now entering second grade and needs a bigger backpack. I will buy the next size for her. The pink one is still in perfect condition and could be used by her younger sibling who is entering 2K. However, he is a boy and so pink will not do. Its the royal blue for him. Unbelievable quality. I would recommend the monogramming as so many children now have these LLBean backpacks.
Ordered this backpack for my little girl who is starting pre-k this year. She was so excited when we opened the package! She wears it around the house saying see I am a big girl now....Not sure on how long she will be able to use this because of the size but I hope to get to use it this year and next year! It will probably be too small for her in first grade! But I got it on sale so no worries!!
This is an awesome product! We bought them for our two daughters when they were just starting grade school. The backpacks still look and perform great, even after heavy use over many years. One schoolbus acquaintance even teased my younger daughter, saying, "My parents get me a new backpack every year. Why are you still using the same one?" I told my daughter to tell that child to get an LLBean one like hers so that she won't need a new one each year!! :-) The lunch bag (sold separately) is still hanging in there, too! Great products!
