We love our Jr. backpack. I bought the pink w/ green fish one for our daughter last September for her pre-k class (they asked for a full size backpack, big enough to hold a regular folder) and this one was perfect for her. It held up so well, even after a year of tough use, it is still in perfect shape, no issues with the zipper or fading. Now I use it when we go to playgrounds, parks, or travel for all her stuff! (Of course, with her starting Kindergarten in Sept., she would want a new backpack...so I am back to look for another design.
This pack is for myself and my almost 2 year old son. We got the light blue with his initials embroided. I use it for diapers, drinks & snacks, change of clothes and toys. I find there is plenty of room for all of the above but everything is easy to find because it's not oversized. This is an item our little guy can grow into over the next few years. Having his initials embroieded makes it a little special and so I am sure I will hang on to it when he gets older as a keepsake!
I bought the print Jr. backpack when my daughter started Kindergarten. She is now going into the 4th Grade and it was just starting to show wear by the end of 3rd grade. The only reason I am now buying another backpack it because she needs a bigger one now and also now ordering one for my son who is getting ready to start Kindergarten. I can remember after 1st grade my daughter asked when she could get a new backpack and I told her when the one I got her wore out. So make sure you get one that they won't mind having for awhile as they do LAST.
