This backpack is extremely durable and perfect for preschoolers and beyond. I purchased this backpack for my son when he entered kindergarten and it still looks new after two years. It holds his notebook, library books, and his lunchbox with no problem. Now that my daughter is entering school, I am again purchasing this backpack.
A family member used this junior bookbag for her daughter in kindergarten and first grade. Then she gave it to my son. He used it in kindergarten and first grade. The only reason I have to buy a new one is because he needs the bigger size. Not one stitch is out of place! I will NEVER buy different brand of bookbag!!
Bought the backpacks in 2008, here they are in 2009. My girls are still using them today, and I anticipate they will last another couple years!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected
We own two of these - I bought the first one in blue for my daughter when she turned 3 and was getting ready to start preschool. It was a little big at that point, but not so much that it overwhelmed her, and she loved it! I bought the second one a year later when my younger daughter was getting ready to start preschool. I try to stay away from pink, so I got the lime green - it is super cute, and great for girls or boys! My older daughter will turn 6 this month, and has been using the same backpack for 3 years, including a full year of Kindergarten and riding the bus. It has held up perfectly, is comfortable, and the perfect size for her communication binder, library books, lunchbox, and spare clothes. We will never buy inferior backpacks - we have been spoiled by LL Bean! :)
