This is the perfect little back pack for my 2 year old son when he has an over night visit at his Nana's etc. It's quality built and will last him until he's ready for a bigger one.
I love this backpack! I have purchased one for my 1st grader as well at my Kindergartener and they fit much better than the backpacks made for teenagers or adults. They still fit standard size notebooks and folders so they were able to use them as normal backpacks at school. They are very durable and have lasted from pre-k until now. My only complaint is that if you are not careful when zipping the main part of the backpack up the material will get stuck in the zipper and you have to fight to get it out. This has happened on numerous occasions and while it was difficult to remove (I had to be rather rough) it did not break the zipper and worked fine afterwards. I highly recommend these junior backpacks for anyone with children starting school!
At first I was in love with this back pack, then I realized there is no mesh pocket on the sides for water bottles, since it is on the smaller side already, there is no way I can add a lunch box, clothes, school items and a water bottle that I hope doesn't leak. Returning so wished it had mesh pockets on the sides to store water bottles upright. Bummer!
I ordered both a lunch box and backpack for my kindergartener. You would think since the prints match, the zippers, piping, and pulls tabs would match. But they don't. The lunchbox has a black zipper, webbing, handle, and strap. The backpack has a gray zipper, piping, and ugly OD Army green pulls. The sweetie bird print is purple and white. There is obviously a disconnect here...
