ProsDurable, Great Value, too small for larger binder
This is a great backpack in all ways... our only problem is that it is just barely too small to fit a zippered 3-ring binder ( a requirement at my daughters' school)... otherwise it's really as good as every other pack we've purchased from "Bean."
I've loved the junior original backpack for 2 years now. It's the perfect size for young children and holds up well. We got the first one when our daughter went to preschool. The handle started to tear a year later and we were able to get a brand new one. The prints in the past have always been very cute. I am quite disappointed in this years print selection. The plain pink is just blah and its the only other "girly" choice. I suggest offering more styles as you have in the past. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
I bought this backpack for my son when he entered kindergarten last fall. It is a nice backpack and very sturdy. It fit him well. However we live in the northeast and during the winter it was very difficult to fit snowpants, lunchbox, and sneakers in this backpack. Maybe that is more than its intended use but just beware if you need to put a lot in it and go with the larger size. We are upgrading to a larger size for 1st grade.
