I originally bought this backpack for my son in Lime. I ended up not liking the color, as it was brighter than it looked online. I thought I was stuck with it because the backpack had been monogrammed, but LL Bean happily exchanged it for me anyway. Other competitors would never do that. Customer service could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I love the backpack (the new one is red), and am very impressed with it, however, I am even more impressed with how LLBean treats it's customers.
I bought this one for my youngest grandson, he loves, and feels so grown up because it is just like his big brothers, we learned that it can go into the washer and dryer without any problems, he packs all his toys in it to go to daycare. He also got the matching lunch box and it holds a good amount of snacks
I bought this since the olive-lizard print was on sale for $12 and I knew my son would love it. He did, and I definitely got my money's worth as it is in great condition 1.5 yrs of use later.HOWEVER it is TOO SMALL for lunchbox plus sneakers, let alone snow pants. So he has to bring his snowpants home in a plastic bag which of course gets forgotten... If you livenorth of the Mason Dixon line and wear boots and snowpants to school for at least 4 months, just get the bigger size and use it forever.
I got this back pack for my daughter when she started kindergarten this year. It is the perfect size! It holds everything she needs (lunch, folders, change of clothes). The quality of the construction is great. She's been using it daily for 6 months now and it still looks new. I love it so much I got one for each of my other 3 kids for preK and daycare. Now, if only it came in purple...
