I bought this book bag for my 21 month old son in blue with his name on and matching lunch box for daycare. When they came in the mail I was shocked at the quality! The bag and klunch bag are perfect and he will most likely get many years of use out of them before he grows out of it (im thinking he will be able to use it til 3rd grade, then I will order him the origional sized back pack) I actually jsut ordered my bestfriends son one today in green for his 2nd birthday present, as he is starting daycare in 3 weeks. I defiantly recommend this product!!! Oh and if it ever brakes/rips ANYTHING they will replace it free of charge!
This is the second time I am ordering this same book pack. The first time was 4 years ago. I am not replacing it because it's worn out. I'm ordering a new one because my son it's not, anymore, a fan of the paw prints on his current one. The book pack can be used for a few more years, if not more. And it is not in a great shape because my son takes care of his belongings! He is in 5th grade now and the pack has had plenty of room for all of his books. I even send needed items for his classroom in it. I'd fit 3 rectangle tissue boxes in it, the big ones. I have washed it a bunch of times in the washer and hung it to dry. It had carried heavy loads, too heavy, even for me. It is the best book pack you can find!
I bought this for my 5 year old in August to take with her to Kindergarten. It has held up well these past 5 months. The main compartment holds a 3 ring binder, lunch bag, snack bag, water bottle, her jacket, gloves, and scarf. The medium compartment holds her spare change of clothes. The small compartment holds pencils, erasers, etc. It holds more than it looks like it will hold. I'm sure we'll use this for a couple more years, until she needs a bigger bag.
Great backpack. Perfect size for my 5 year-old. Main compartment fits lunch, jacket and books. Smaller compartments good for holding pens, small toys and papers. The handle started pulling out of the seam within 2 weeks. Can't afford the time to send it back and get a replacement. Need a new one today so I will have to go to a local store. LL bean has great products and service but not happy that this pack broke so quickly.
