We have purchased 2 of the junior backpacks for our daughters. I am about to buy another one only because our middle daughter out grew hers and the youngest daughter is tired of the color! The kids will most likely get too big for the pack before it is worn out! I have actually washed them and dried them along with the matching lunch boxes and they look like new! These are by far the best backpacks ever. We bought a cheaper messenger bag because all her friends had one and she just had to have one as well. Never again. It was so worn out by Christmas break that we tossed it and went back to our LL Bean! LOVE THEM!
I just finished purchasing my second LLBean backpack for my daughter entering into 4th grade next year. Her old one, which is this style, had been used since kindergarten - yes, for FOUR years and it is still in great condition...free from rips or tears or other defect. She'd still be using it this year if not for the obvious fact she's outgrown it. Also the critter lunch boxes are just as durable and lasting. Considering the duration of time these backbacks can be used they are simply the CHEAPEST out there. Great buy and I wouldn't buy any other backbacks or lunch boxes anywhere. Thanks LLBean!!
My daughter has had her backpack since she started K4. This is the perfect size for a small child to carry. She used it in K4, K5 and will use it again for 1st grade this year. Then she will get a new bigger size and use this for other things. My son will use his for K5 this year and 1st grade next year as well. Great product!
I bought a similar(a little bigger) backpack for my daughter when she went to preschool (9years ago) she still uses it going into the 8th grade. It still looks brand new. Great for travel as well. I'm buying my son the junior bp for preschool and I know he will have it forever. Can't beat the price. I tell everyone to stop buying a backpack every year and just order from LL Bean. You won't be sorry.
