ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
Ever since growing up in Maine as a teenager, I've wanted a pair of LL Bean boots. I bought a pair last December and am now asking myself why I waited so many years to buy them!. I had a chance to break them in during a 24" snowfall before last Christmas and found them to be everything advertised - warm, comfortable and with plenty of traction on ice. The fit is great - I wear a size 11 shoe and found that with heavy socks the fit was very comfortable and secure. The only complaint is with the laces on these 10" boots - they need to be longer. Lacing all the way up left only 3 or 4" to make a knot. I'm very happy with the purchase and have never been disappointed with Bean quality.

The boots were purchased as a X-mas gift from my wife. Her first pair of bean boots is 15 years old and looks great. So she thought this would be a great gift for me. She was correct; they are very comfortable, warm and a joy to wear.
She ordered my boots actual size and wide. My thought is, I can add a sock if they are loose. Honestly, they fit me perfect with a pair of socks and are very comfortable to walk in.
They are very warm with a soft foot bed. My only suggestion is to wipe them down with mink oil when they are new. This will soften the leather and provide a greater measure of waterproofing.
I look forward to purchasing another pair in 15 years!

I bought these boots for my fiancé for Christmas, and he LOVES them - wears them non-stop! I'm glad I chose to go with the Thinsulate boots, as I heard the regular boots can chafe your feet. I do recommend that thick socks be worn, as thin socks are not as comfortable. All in all, GREAT BUY!
