bunions, foot pain, oh my!
PostedSeptember 23, 2010
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, wide
My feet are my "weak link," which is a drag because I love to hike. I bought some Bean boots once already, but my daughter claimed them (she loves them) and so I had to go buy ANOTHER pair! I got the tall tops because I want to tuck in my pants and keep ticks out, plus keep my feet dry, plus I don't want to go lame! I love them! I wear them all the time, and the Bean's stands by their products. If you ever have a problem, they fix it, which makes it easy to have confidence. They are the best.

Comment to the LLBean10" thinsulate boot

ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable
I thought the boot was insulated from the foot to the top of the boot. It is only insulated for the foot. This is a little dissapointing because about 20 or so years ago I bought theLLBean boot and it was completely insulated throughout. I still have that pair of boots and if they would fit me I would be still wearing them. I love those boots and wore them all the time in cold weather, rain and snow.

a New Tradition
PostedMarch 24, 2010
I never gave waterproof show and or boots much thought. That is until last winter when I experienced an unusual amount of snow fall in Vancouver. I wore some work boots that were pretty waterproof, I was alright with those until the sole started to crack. I vowed that I would get a good quality pair if waterproof boots. I explore quite a few options an even bought a few pairs of run of the mill gum boots. But when I saw the video of the history of the Bean boot and the fact that it's made in the US I was sold.
I was ready for the snow this year. I was actually looking forward to it cause I know this year I would be ready with my wool socks and Bean Boots. Well we didn't get much snow, but I still was happy walking into puddles during the Olympics.
I wear a size 11 normally I ended up getting a pair in size 10's. I found the boots a little wide but overall a good fit. The boot was surprisingly comfortable and flexible, it retains a decent amount of heat so it kept my toes warm. I didn't buy the Goretex version but I found that the Thinsulate version is waterproof enough that it kept my feet when in the downpours.

Boots and Snow
PostedMarch 3, 2010
These boots were given to me by my wife Carole. I had a pair of boots that finally gave out after over 20 years. I needed boots because of the double snow storms which hit the DC area. Being late in the season I thought it would be difficult to find boots like these. My wife went to LLBEAN for these and they are great. Very confortable, warm, and waterproof. I love them. They grip the ice/snow. I look forward to having them for a long, long time. They were also priced right.
