I like the chair - no problems with the feet, fabric or construction - It is rather Large so check your space! The seat depth is great if you have long legs - No one has slept on it yet and after reading the other reviews I got a queen sized egg crate mattress pad to place on top for use when sleeping on it which fits perfectly if folded in 1/2 lengthwise - plan to use a folded queen size sheet for a bottom sheet - looks like it will work - this will be used only as a extra bed in the family room -
Positive: LLBean's awesome customer service. I returned the chair when I could not use it as a sleeper. I was going to throw it out and a friend told me that LLBean will take it back...they did without any questions and they were pleasant and helpful. Negative: The chair looks nice but it sags if you sit on it AND it is so uncomfortable that I could not sleep. I padded it with egg crates and mattress toppers and STILL found it extremely uncomfortable. However, I would recommend buying any product from LLBean.
I seem to have gotten a different chair: no problems with sleeping or sitting surfaces, no wobbly legs. The upholstery does rumple after the chair is used... because the cushions underneath have some give. It is, in fact, light enough to carry. I have two problems with the chair, neither terminal: ugly upholstery (blue chenille), and WAY too expensive for what it is. However, it will serve its purpose just fine!
We were all pleased with the look of the chair. I purchased the denim to coordinate with the camp/ nautical decor of the spare room in the beach house. It looks very nice. The off-center wobbly legs were quickly fixed with stick on felt pads that we would have put on anyway. Arrived quickly. Not the most comfortable sleeping - will throw a comforter or sleep bag on to make softer, but fine for kids and young adults. You can never have too many beds at the beach. Oh - also - dog approves! Can't keep him off when opened up as a bed :-) I think the price should be lower, though.
