I'm not sure what LL Bean does to make their packs so sturdy, but we are entering our fourth year with this pack and it still hasn't shown any wear. In the meantime, my family has gone through 2 other brands of non-rollers and two more rolling styles. If you want a pack that will last for years to come, you will not be disappointed. I just bought another inexpensive pack two months ago figuring it would be good for the occasional weekend bike ride and my 10 year old son pointed out that the straps were starting to unravel after the second use. There is definitely a difference in backpacks and I simply can't tell the difference just by looking at the pack in the store. If you want real quality, you can trust the LL Bean brand of pack to deliver.
My oldest son received this book pack when he was in kindergarten. He has carried it daily since then, and is now entering the 6th grade. The pack is still in excellent condition! Now we are getting ready to purchase one for my other son! It is one of the best investments ever!
This is a great book pack I just got it but it looks great and it held a lot of supplies. More than I expected. The only problem I have with this book pack is that there is no bottle holder for water. But other than that it is great!
These have to be the best bags ever! I have bought each of my kids one, right after they come home from the hospital. I used them as baby bags. My Daughter is going to be in 1st grade and we've had hers for 6 yrs. It still looks like new. Went through kindergarten and now going through 1st. Best part my 2nd bag is 4yrs old and the zipper broke on it the other day, I called up llbean and they replaced it with a new one for free! Find that anywhere else. I also have bought these for gifts as well. IT's great!!!!
