We bought several backpacks from llbean, happy with all of them in terms of quality. This one is especially good, it is light but very strong. We would have bought a few more if there is at least one exterior water bottle holder.
I first bought one of these backpacks 12 years ago as a gift for my nephew! After years of use (and abuse!), the zipper broke and LL Bean replaced it! My nephew is graduating this year, and it's still going strong!!! I have since bought many more of these, for my daughters, nephews, as gifts, etc. The free monogramming with the LLBean card is great! These can't be beat! My only complaint is that my kids get tired of the design LONG before they even come close to wearing out! So now we have a collection! ANOTHER AWESOME LLBEAN PRODUCT!
Bought this pack for my son for first grade. He just finished third grade. While the pack looks new, it has a broken zipper that occcured only a few weeks ago. I was planning on getting him the deluxe for fourth grade anyway, as they carry so much more. Thanks for a great product - worth every penny!!!
I bought one of these in a wild color for my daughter about 4 years ago. The back pack is being retired next school year, not because of wear and tear, because she is tired of it. It was washed, thrown, you name it. It's been used and abused. It is in good shape and the light up reflectors still work. Thank you LL Bean for making a GREAT product
