This bookbag is great for students pre-k -5. I absolutely love this bookbag. It is very sturdy! I have three children in grades k-2 and it has held up a whole entire year. When the stitching came undone on my son's bookbag (due to poor stitching around the zipper), I called LL Bean and they replaced it within a week and sent me a refund for the purchase price. You can't ask for better customer service than that! I will definitely buy replacement bookbags in the future. The matching lunch bags are nice as well. Just don't order them around the time school starts back or you could have a wait for certain colors. Other than that, they are great! I am extremely pleased.
This is the second of these back packs we have purchased for my son. He used the first one for two school years and it is still in good condition. He just wanted a new design. I also just purchased one for my youngest son who will be starting kindergarten this fall.
I ordered this for my first grader. The size is perfect and he was thrilled with it. We ordered one of these for my older son four years ago. Before that we had been buying department store book packs which would fall apart before the school year ended. Since we bought the LL Bean book pack he hasn't needed a new pack in four years! It still looks brand new.
I purchased this book bag for my son after he got a big hole in his other book bag. (that was not from LL Bean) I would recommend this product to anyone who has kids. This product was average priced and was made with great quality. I will continue to purchase these products for my kids as well as my niece and nephews.
